The 2023 Volunteer Trip will occur during the month of July 2023.
In Dulce Nombre, Copan, Honduras
Volunteers will engage in meaningful hands-on activities with Esperanzas Unidas and the local community. In addition to working on a special project at Esperanzas Unidas's Bamboo and Cultural Center, Volunteers will also have the opportunity to take classes on traditional Honduran culture, such as creating their own bamboo keychains, bread making lessons, and learning about how coffee is made. Volunteers will also spend time at village schools, painting a mural project with the students there. Finally, Volunteers will culminate their trip visiting the spectacular town of Copan Ruinas, with a guided tour of the Mayan ruins, as well as a special trip to a bird refuge.
The cost to participate in Esperanzas Unidas's 10 day Volunteer Trip ranges between $1,380 - $1,533 (depending on hotel room choice). This cost does not include airfare or dinner and personal expenses.
*For large groups of volunteers, we can work with you to help to organize fundraising efforts if cost is an issue.
